Managing evolving technologies for public sector transformation

Last year over 200 public sector delegates attended UKAuthority’s Integrating Digital Health & Care 2023 virtual conference which explored how digital and data can be used to support the integration of care - catch up with the conference videos and presentations below.

01:27: How we’re digitising social care to enable integration - Alice Ainsworth, Deputy Director for Adult Social Care Technology Policy, Department for Health and Social Care
The Digitising Social Care programme is providing funding and support to social care providers to help them implement digital social care records (DSCRs). There is a roadmap in place with the software suppliers to ensure interoperability with NHS systems is built in to the plans. Prior to the r programme just - 40% of providers were using digital systems and the remainder were on paper. There is now an ambitious target to get to 80% adoption of DSCRs by March 24. Enormous amounts of information is collected about us as we experience health and care in Wales. Unfortunately this information is often prevented from following us. Development of nationally agreed processes and common, reconciled datasets is a huge step forward in allowing the data to flow where it needs to go…and magically appearing where it needs to be.
