Can AI power online citizen self service to new heights of efficiency and ease of use?

As local government finances become evermore precarious and the demand for services continues to rise, the urgency of both finding savings and improving delivery grows ever stronger. And whilst perhaps not yet the silver bullet of hype, its potential to take digital self-service efficiency and ease of use to the next level puts Artificial Intelligence AI firmly in the digital toolbox.

After a over decade of building online citizen services councils know which services are most in demand and can therefore target the biggest wins for improvements and efficiency. However, the advent of AI to power services and intelligently automate delivery has the potential to deliver a step change. Are we on the brink of a revolution in digital efficiency?

Joining the UKA Live panel on 7 February to dismiss the hype and explore potential power of AI-enhanced digital services are:

Geoff Connell
Director of Digital Services
Norfolk County Council

Director of Institute
