Digital and data steps for integrated care

Digital technologies and data can enable the integration of health and care. Several significant points emerged in the presentations and discussions of the UKAuthority Integrating Digital Health and Care 2023.

It highlighted a positive outlook on how digital and data can be used to support the integration of care, but there is also a widespread recognition that the full benefits will not be achieved without a significant improvement in the digital skills of many of the workforce, especially in care homes, and the ability of care recipients to use the tools. Shortcomings in digital inclusion is a major issue that has a big impact in the field.
