Bill Mitchell, director of policy at BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT, signposts examples of how algorithms have been used to support government policy priorities since Covid-19.

Speaking at UKAuthority's Data4Good event he explored why they didn’t work out quite as well as they were supposed to, and what could be done to ensure such unintended consequences are avoided next time.
