West College Scotland is implementing a cloud based platform containing data to support its students.
It has signed to use Civica College Management software, which has been designed specifically for the needs of further education students.
Civica said it will enable West College to bring all student and course data into one place, making it easier to monitor their individual learning progress and identify those who need extra support. It also enables students to keep up to date with their progress.
Amy McDonald, vice principal (operations) at the college, said: “At West College Scotland, we are determined to provide the best possible learning experience for our students, from enrollment to graduation.
“Key to this will be making smarter use of the wealth of data we already hold. This requires the right digital tools, so we’re empowering our people to make the most informed and impactful decisions which will deliver the widest possible benefits to our students.
“From improving educational outcomes to identifying and supporting those with extra needs, we’re excited about the potential of this technology to help ensure our students get off to the strongest start in their chosen careers”.
