For too many in policing, ‘cloud’ is a scary term – in Leach’s words, “ethereal and uncontrollable” by definition. At the same time, there’s a growing problem with how to best store the growing mounds of digital and media data being accumulated.
To cope, Leach and the team at the ICT Company are crafting a hybrid cloud option to deliver secure external storage as a convincing and trustworthy option for police forces.
Supported by Microsoft, UKAuthority and research participants from police, government and associated bodies, published a white paper, 'Digitising Policing'.
