Can a UK police force every make full use of cloud computing? Sceptics doubt it, given the perceived insecurities in the approach.

But we hear  evidence that may change minds, as one ex-force leader details how a determined approach to really make the most of existing IT infrastructure and an openness to experiment delivered extensive cloud benefits.

“You have to see ICT as part of the whole, not just a silo,” he says. This is a big part of the process to get to cloud.

Supported by Microsoft, UKAuthority worked with Simon Parr and research participants from police, government and associated bodies, to publish a white paper, 'Digitising Policing'.
