University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) has begun to deploy the MyStaff app as part of a closed loop document management platform.

Under a contract described as “multi-year” this will provide its staff across 10 hospitals and community services with access to its latest policies, clinical guidelines and patient information leaflets.

The app has been developed over the past two years by Diligram and is said to use AI to ensure staff are aware of new documents or changes to procedures pertinent to their job roles.

UHBW has adopted the entire MyStaff cloud based system, which as a closed loop manages the document creation, local approval, ratification and distribution through the app or a web interface.

It also provides analytical information to the trust.

Sarah Wright, head of risk management and information governance at the trust, said: “Like other large NHS Trusts, UHBW faces significant challenges in terms of management of procedural documents, particularly around staff having timely access to key clinical guidelines.”
