IT industry association techUK has announced the new group of members of its Local Public Services Committee (LPSC), with Faith la Grange from Microsoft to become chair.
It involves 25 representatives from member companies – a mixture of large firms and SMEs – to take the lead on activities between the organisation and local government.
The announcement said this will involve looking at how technologies can tackle some of councils’ and communities’ big challenges.
“The LPSC brings together a diverse group of suppliers both small and large to agree a common agenda to best support the transformation of local public service and improve citizen outcomes,” said la Grange (pictured).
“We want to learn from councils about their transformation journeys, challenges they have faced, and key asks to industry on how we can better work together to facilitate better partnerships that deliver a shared ambition of better services for all citizens.
“If you’re a local authority that wants to share your journey or you’re looking at how digital can transform your council do get in touch, as we are keen to grow our regional engagement as well as hear what you think we should be focusing on.”
