Stockport Homes has introduced a mobile app to enable people to quickly report anti-social behaviour.

The arm’s length management organisation for Stockport Council’s social housing said the ReMOTE app has developed with technology company EBS, which produces the ReACT case management software for anti-social behaviour.

It has been developed through a series of trials with residents and replaces the use of an incident diary for residents, which many found time consuming to fill in.

Stockport Homes’ head of ASB Liz Smith said: “We listened to the feedback and have now launched an app, which enables complainants to log incidents as they occur direct from their smartphone or tablet.

“The app allows customers to log written details of what’s been happening as well as uploading photos, videos and sound recordings. The app even allows the case officer to send messages directly back to you thus improving communication.”

The organisation added that 72% of its customers now access its website through a mobile phone or tablet computer.
