Northern Ireland gets Covid-19 public data dashboard

21/04/20

Northern Ireland’s Department of Health has published an online public dashboard of statistics related to the spread of Covid-19.

It provides a range of figures including the number of patient admissions and discharges, outbreaks in care settings, bed occupancy, intensive care unit occupancy and gender and age breakdowns.

They are presented at a number of levels, including by local government district, NHS trust and hospital site.

The dashboard has been built on Microsoft Power BI and makes it possible for users to highlight elements of the data.

The department said the information will be refreshed daily and new content added as appropriate.

Health Minister Robin Swann said: “It is vitally important to keep the public well informed. That includes statistics as well as the all important advice on how to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

“My department has also introduced and updated the Covid-19 NI app in recent weeks and further digital initiatives are planned. The entire HSC system has worked very hard to provide vital information and advice online – both on social media on websites.”
