North Somerset Council has signed Yotta to support streetlighting services with its Alloy asset management software.

The deal was carried out through the council’s IT and business services provider Agilisys, which will work with Yotta on migrating the streetlighting function from the existing Mayrise system.

The project is aligned with an LED replacement programme.

Yotta said the software will enable North Somerset to gather data from its network using sensors, view real time information on its streetlights and keep up-to-date on maintenance tasks. It will be linked with council’s CRM system.

It added that the council is also looking at the possibility of using Alloy across a wider range of assets.

In October the company announced a similar deal with neighbouring Bath and North East Somerset Council.
