NHS Professionals has signed up for a cloud based communications solution to support remote working.
It has awarded a contract to enterprise communications provider RingCentral for a system that will include capabilities for voice, video, online meetings, team messaging and SMS.
The deal will also involve the deployment of the company’s cloud contact centre solutions for customer engagement, and the provision of the RingCentral Mobile app to remove the need to use desktop phones.
It will all be available to the agency’s operational and customer service teams in Leeds and Watford.
NHS Professionals works with NHS trusts across England to provide temporary staff, and has been working on a digital transformation programme to improve its workflows and move from on-premises to cloud systems.
Its head of National Service Centre Catherine Holmes said: “As we embark on our digital transformation journey, we needed robust cloud communications solutions that would allow us to deliver a frictionless customer experience.”
