Beverley Bryant to move into private sector as organisation awaits arrival of new chief executive

NHS Digital’s director of digital transformation is set to leave the organisation at the end of July to take up a post at the alliance of health and social care software specialists System C and Graphnet.

She will be joining the boards of both companies to work across their strategy, delivery and business development.

Bryant (pictured) has been in the NHS Digital role since June of last year, before which she spent three years as director of digital technology at NHS England, and was chief information officer at the Department of Health between 2005-10. She also had a two and half year stint as managing director of the health division in Capita Business Services.

Past responsibilities in the NHS have included negotiating the Spending Review settlement, leading the NHS E-Referral Service and the Patient Online programme, and co-developing the Personalised Health and Care 2020 strategy.

Her move away from NHS Digital follows the recent announcement that Sarah Wilkinson, currently chief digital data and technology officer at Home Office, is due to take over as chief executive later in the year.
