NHSX and NHS England have published a list of eight accredited suppliers of electronic patient record solutions in a new section on the Health Systems Support Framework.

Allscripts, Cerner, DXC, IMS Maxims, Nervecentre, Meditech, TPP and System C have been named on Lot 1 of the framework, in a move the organisations said is aimed at giving trusts more confidence in their purchases.

The companies have been evaluated and by experts from NHS England and Improvement, NHSX, NHS Digital, Department of Health and Social Care, local care provider organisations, regional teams and national bodies.

In addition, the solutions all meet the Global Digital Exemplars standards for improvements in the quality of care and have the ability to integrate with other IT systems.

Enterprise-wide and thinner

The suppliers were asked to demonstrate how they would deliver enterprise-wide solutions and thinner deployments that provide a basis for modular solutions (with or without SMEs and other partners). They also had to show how the solutions would interoperate with other systems to support the creation of integrated local health and care records.

Matthew Gould, chief executive officer of NHSX, said: “Today’s announcement is about giving care providers the tools they need to achieve this, and a key part of our mission to ensure the NHS benefits from the very best digital services.”
