NHS shows big jump in GP records access

The NHS has released figures showing that more than 95% of GP practices are now set up to offer online access to patient records, including test results, diagnoses, referrals and medication history. This is up from just 3% in January of this year.

The change has come from the Patient Online programme, which had a target of April this year for the provision of coded information through online channels.

The NHS also said that the ‘no show’ rates for appointments booked online are 35% lower than for appointments booked conventionally.

Poole to use Civica Housing Cx

Poole Housing Partnership (PHP), a housing company owned by Borough of Poole, has entered a strategic partnership with Civica for its business transformation. The deal will involve PHP using the Civica Housing Cx system to bring the relevant information into one place and create tenant and supplier portals.

In recent months three other housing organisations – Barrow in Furness Borough Council, Cecil Housing Trust and Orwell Housing Association – have also signed to use Civica Housing Cx.

Northgate launches enforcement and permits solution

Northgate Public Services has launched a cloud based enforcement and permits management solution for transport and ticketing schemes. Named NPS TaP, it is available for issuing printed tickets or validating paper or virtual permits.

Alongside self-service permit application pages, there are public online payment and appeals pages to enable the automation of penalty charge notice payment collections and the processing of appeals information.

A spokesperson for Northgate said: “The solution enjoys the same high level of security provided to our policing customers, and is hosted on Amazon AWS Cloud infrastructure, which typically has a 99.95% uptime service level.”
