National Cyber Security Centre says it still has roles to fill under the Industry 100 programme
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has put out a fresh call to private sector cyber specialists to join its Industry 100 programme.
It has flagged up that it still has a number of positions to fill under the scheme, which involves experts joining the organisation on a temporary basis to bolster the cooperation between government and the private sector in building up cyber security.
It said that while a number of positions have been filled, it is still actively recruiting in other areas. The list on its website on 29 August includes roles in internet of things assurance investigation, web app security and the virtualisation of telecoms platforms.
Industry 100 was launched by Chancellor Philip Hammond in February. He said the purpose was for the people on secondment to test and challenge government’s thinking on cyber security, but that they could also benefit from the experience when returning to their own organisations.
“This is a challenging project, dedicated to innovation and collaboration,” NCSC said. “One of our goals is to build and nurture a community of cyber experts throughout the UK, improving the resilience of our cyber defences, nationally.”
It added that is beginning to collect feedback, which it plans to publish soon, from the early adopters of the programme.
