UKAuthority's Local Digital Transformation events, hosted in association with Microsoft, provided an opportunity to hear from local authorities and technology experts on the digital transformation trail, through presentations, live demonstrations and trailblazing technology showcases in London and Manchester.

With local government facing tough times, over 200 public sector delegates attended the events to explore how commodity technology can help to reinvent service delivery, unlock savings and help local authorities collaborate across the public sector. Partnered by AvePoint, Microsoft Consultancy Services, PowerObjects - an HCL company, IBM and Pythagoras, the events explored the importance of getting the most out of technology in order to deliver 'more for less' to citizens.

Watch this video for a quick overview of the day:

Speakers from Enfield and Wokingham Borough councils provided delegates with peer to peer insight on how to progress their own digital transformation journeys, underpinned by the Socitm / Local CIO Council mantra of 'simplify, standardise and share'. The address data custodian, GeoPlace, outlined the benefits of using NLPG data to support joined up service delivery.

To hear more watch the panel debates involving local authority speakers.

Microsoft outlined the reality of digital transformation and the environment in which local authorities and private sector organisations operate to join up service delivery. This was supported by showcases of the latest technology - outling the capabilities of Dynamics 365 with a walk through of three local authority scenarios and a demonstration on how healthcare provision can be reimagined with off-the-shelf technology.

Our event partners - AvePoint, IBM, Microsoft Services, PowerObjects - an HCL company and Pythagoras highlighted their own unique takes on delivering digital transformation and customer success stories in enabling better services for citizens.
