Integrated technology enables transformation in housing

WEBINAR: Latest technologies offer housing associations a lifeline in challenging times - HCL-PowerObjects: 10:00, 27 September

HCL’s Paul Rogers says that the company is “seeing many housing organisations keen to modernise their sales, marketing and service capabilities but struggling to put together the business case in these challenging times.”

An additional challenge, he adds, is the need to connect up existing – but often incompatible - back-end systems. And, with housing organisation mergers set to continue for the foreseeable future, he anticipates rising demand for legacy integration projects across the housing sector.

“Business cases and delivery should be outcomes based and aimed at making the best of both existing and new digital investments,” he says, adding that HCL views technology as an enabler, not a means to an end.

Rogers explains that the latest technologies – such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dynamics AX, Office 365 and Azure – can be used to design and craft a solution that pulls disparate systems together to make the new ‘whole’ respond ‘as one’ to customers.

The promise is that from tenancy and asset management through to repairs and customer services, digitising processes will not only deliver efficiencies but also deliver happy customers through self-service and omnichannel services.

The company is currently working with Circle Housing to digitise operations and is hosting a knowledge sharing webinar later this month.
