Hackney signs to use Servelec education system

21/12/18

Hackney Council has signed a 10-year deal with software provider Servelec for its education department to use the Synergy education management information system.

Hackney Learning Trust will use the system for its case management and assessment and monitoring capabilities, aiming to provide more targeted, digital education support to children, young people and their families.

It is expected to be deployed in January 2019 and go live in April 2020.

Synergy is a single system with multiple modular capabilities, and will be used by the trust to manage admissions, pupil benefits, legal obligations around special educational needs, school and local authority governance requirements, and Early Years obligations.

Tony Baxter, sales director at Servelec, said: “We look forward to working with Hackney Learning Trust to develop a more integrated holistic view so the council can provide targeted, digital education support to children, young people and their families.”

The system will replace a 15 year-old Capita solution.
