The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is planning to run a pilot on the use of a digital jury bundle for Crown Court trials.

It has published a supplier engagement notice saying it wants to provide juries and other key participants in trials with a digital pack of evidence exhibits – such as police interview transcripts, telephone records and photographs - through a digital solution.

It will be viewable on a device with a capability to add, delete and amend the relevant files, and give jurors the ability to annotate the bundle.

CPS also wants it to integrate with its other systems and processes.

The organisation plans to run a pilot in a single courtroom before widening it out to five in different parts of the country.
