Cheshire East Council has re-awarded the contracts for IT systems for adult and children’s social care to LiquidLogic and Oxford Computer Consultants.

Its cabinet made the decision this week, based on a recommendation from its executive directors for people and corporate services.

The new deals have been procured through the G-Cloud 11 framework and will run for two years, with the options for two one-year extensions, beginning next year.

LiquidLogic provides the case management system and Oxford Computer Consultants the online directory and financial provisioning for the services.

The proposal document submitted to the cabinet says the performance of the systems has been positive since they were implemented in 2014, and that any change of supplier could require operational changes and implementation costs.

It states that the anticipated value of the procurement is £1.28 million but it is understood that this has been changed to state it is within the existing budgets for the services.
