CCS agrees public sector discounts with Workday

24/05/21

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Workday to provide public sector customers with discounted pricing on its cloud based applications for financial management, human resources, planning, spend management and analytics.

The new deal can be accessed through the data and application solutions and back office software frameworks.

Workday is already used by the Cabinet Office, the Department for Education and UK Research and Innovation. Last year the Financial Conduct Authority agreed a five year £11.5 million contract with the supplier, also agreed through CCS.

“This memorandum of understanding with Workday will allow the public sector to access a range of discounts on cloud products, supporting the digital transformation of the UK public sector as we build back better,”  said Philip Orumwense, CCS commercial director and chief technology procurement officer.

“The transformative power of cloud technology is key to our commitment to drive greater innovation across government. This Workday MOU will support the adoption of modern cloud based systems,” added Gareth Rhys Williams, the UK Government’s chief commercial officer.
