UKA Live: DDaT, health & care

Time: 11:00 - 12:00 via Teams Live

integration of health and care technology

How important will DDaT and cloud technologies be in the successful implementation of ICS and new models of care?

Technology will underpin effective working, integration and innovation across health and social care. But will legacy systems create a barrier to gaining the full benefits of integration? Will ICBs and local service providers harness the opportunities available from cloud? If so, will they look to public, private or hybrid operating models, and will data sovereignty issues impact those choices?

As care pathways develop from hospital into home and care home, and virtual wards become standard, will cyber security be ‘front and centre’? Are health and local government procurement processes optimised for procuring modern technologies? Indeed, are traditional ‘capex’ and ‘opex’ budget splits still a challenge?

Martin Dean, Chief Digital Transformation Officer, SCC Healthcare
