The London Borough of Redbridge has agreed on a five-year, £500,000 deal with Civica to use two of its cloud systems in its housing service transformation.

The deal covers the company’s Cx Housing software for asset management and Abritas for housing needs.

Civica said the council is rationalising seven legacy systems into Cx, which should provide a basis for more automation of transactions in the housing service and scope for data analysis to identify vulnerable tenants. The system also has a range of language options and can link with third party pictorial tools such as repairs diagnostics.

It will use Abritas to help tackle homelessness issues in the borough.

In addition, council employees will have access to a single view of tenants and properties, and a customer portal will be used for repairs and service requests, rent payments and online applications.

Ann James, head of housing resources at Redbridge, said the move “matches our requirements as a forward thinking housing service looking to grow and make a real difference to customers and their communities”.
