The Passport Office has agreed on a contract worth up just short of £60 million with tech consultancy Equal Experts as part of the Digital Future Services programme.

The deal will cover support of digital applications and services within the caseworking product family, and will run for an initial two years with a baseline value of £16.4 million, but has options for three one-year extensions that could take it up to £59.9 million.

It has been awarded under the Crown Commercial Service’s Technology Services 3 framework agreement.

In recent months the Passport Office has signed a handful of major deals with technology companies as part of the Digital Future Services programme, aimed at more services being delivered online. These have include contracts with Kainos on digital applications and services, Atos on infrastructure and business intelligence, and DXC Technology for the platforms product family.

Equal Experts recently won a significant trio of deals, worth a total of £37.2 million, with HM Revenue and Customs to support its Data Provisioning Service.
