Norwich City Council is planning a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) software implementation.

It has taken on Embridge Consulting to support its deployment of a Unit4 system and to implement standard business processes and reporting.

The software-as-a-service will be deployed across the council’s back office systems to provide a single view of its information together with a unified process framework across finance and HR.

Annabel Scholes, Norwich’s executive director of corporate and commercial services, said: “Our duty is to serve the people of Norwich and to ensure our residents are at the heart of everything we do. A key aspect of this is to make sure we have the right IT solutions in place, whether they’re resident facing or back office systems.

“We’re very much looking forward to working with Embridge Consulting to guide us through the successful implementation of Unit4 ERP so that our new finance and HR systems are efficient, fit-for-purpose and can contribute to the ongoing success of the city council.
