The National Procurement Service (NPS) for Wales has signed contracts with several companies for a printer and document management solutions procurement framework.

It has indicated the MFDs (multi-functional devices) and document solutions deal could be worth up to £40 million, although it does not state the length of the arrangement in the contract notice.

It says the framework provides a purchasing route for a range of MFDs and consumables, along with support and maintenance, and a range of associated software products and services.

The solutions take in cloud hosted print, hybrid managed print estates, document and workflow automation, managed document solutions and hybrid mail solutions.

The companies covered by the deal are Comcen Computer Supplies, Vision (Office Automation), Canda Copying, Richoh, Xerox, Altodigital Networks, Banner Group, Konica Minolta, UK Laser Supplies and Canon.

Plans for another lot within the contract for print consumables were withdrawn due to concerns about possible legal proceedings which are not further outlined in the contract notice.
