Public sector IT association Socitm has announced the appointment of Kevin White as a non-executive director.

He is head of digital accessibility for the Scottish Government, and his Socitm role involves responsibility for equality, diversity and inclusion.

White (pictured) said: “I’m really pleased to join Socitm and help develop accessibility and inclusion as a key policy theme.

“It’s really exciting to have chance to influence how public services are created. Accessible digital services are fundamental in creating an ethical and inclusive public sector for all citizens”.

David Bryant chief executive officer of Socitm, said: “It’s a key appointment, so for him to join with the skills and experience he brings, is a huge boost to our organisation.  It will strengthen and enhance the important work we are doing in this area, throughout all parts of the business”.
