Hampshire County Council is planning to launch a new case management system for adult social care next year.
It has signed a six-year contract with system supplier Advanced to use the cloud based CareDirector solution, with a plan to implement by summer 2021.
The council will make it available to nearly 2,000 staff including social workers, occupational therapists, nurses and public health practitioners as the principal case management tool.
The system includes a customisation layer and open architecture which the supplier said makes it easy to integrate with the systems of partner organisations in healthcare.
Graham Allen, director of adults’ health and care at Hampshire, said: We face many challenges and pressures in the social care sector, and we have a hugely dedicated workforce who deliver quality services and support, with the needs of vulnerable people, carers and their families at the heart of our delivery.
“This new solution will enable our multi-disciplinary teams to collaborate more than ever before, streamlining processes and simplifying activities, reducing the time colleagues currently spend on case recording and enable them to spend more time delivering and focusing on the best outcomes for our more vulnerable residents. It will also facilitate mobile and flexible working which, given the current crisis, is incredibly important.”
