Time to generate public sector demand for Cloud

Bill McCluggage, ex deputy government CIO and now advisory technology consultant at EMC, believes that government has done "a fantastic job" at getting suppliers lined up and signed up to G-Cloud, but that it is now time to focus on generating the demand side. In order to accelerate adoption and deliver cloud benefits, "Demand side now needs to step up to the mark with some more capability," he says. McCluggage has plans to involve industry in helping to build the internal skills the public sector needs in order to take advantage of new technologies and new procurement models.
